Women’s participation in higher education in engineering has shown significant progress; however, examining their academic profile remains essential to understanding their professional development and access to decision-making positions. This study aimed to analyze the academic profile and administrative participation of female faculty members at a higher education institution in engineering. A quantitative study with a descriptive scope was conducted using official institutional data.
The population consisted of faculty members, considering variables such as level of education, length of service, and participation in administrative positions. The results indicate a consolidated female academic structure, primarily at the master’s and doctoral levels, as well as a substantial presence in administrative roles. It is concluded that female participation strengthens the institutional structure and contributes to the development of engineering education; however, challenges remain in consolidating academic trajectories at the early stages.
