Frequently, women resort to special practices to cover a socially imposed gender stereotype; This dictates that it is essential to have a man so that the woman is complete, then, when these needs are not covered, they resort to magical assumptions to be able to correct what is related to said ideology. From the a priori, the present investigation allows to link as it is perceptible the decrease of animal species used for this purpose, the above subscribed in the red list of threatened species whose reports. subscribe to a decrease in hummingbirds in Mexico, one cause is the use and trade used in rituals to attract love, health or money. Through a study of cases, it was possible to have access to witches, “santeros” and shamans who provided contributions on the subject, allowing to corroborate the hypothesis that there is a strong relationship between female gender, self-devaluation, and prevalence-recurrence of rituals to obtain love.
