Abstract

This article analyzes the problem of excessive overtime during the preparation of annual inventory in a logistics company. This situation has negatively impacted operational efficiency, increased costs, and affected employee well-being. The main objective is to propose a solution based on process standardization, system automation, and the implementation of a dedicated inventory team. The methodology is applied and non-experimental, based on historical data analysis, literature review, and evaluation of alternatives using cost, impact, and sustainability criteria. Results show that combining standardized processes, automated data reconciliation, and defined roles significantly reduces overtime and improves inventory accuracy. It is concluded that structured management tools enhance organizational performance and working conditions.
