The university education of Mechanical Engineers in Management experienced significant social changes due to the COVID-19 lockdown, altering dynamics of interaction, communication, and academic support. The objective of this study was to analyze the social impact of the pandemic on students at FIME-UANL. A quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive research design was employed, using a convenience sample of 135 students (67% male and 33% female). A questionnaire with 16 closed-ended items was administered through Google Forms and distributed via Teams and WhatsApp in April 2025. The results revealed an increase in social media use, a decrease in peer interaction (63%), and a rise in feelings of social isolation (78%), confirming a significant reconfiguration of the university social experience.
