Mixed parts in the finishing/ final inspection area. Improvement of production processes

In the company Brembo México S.A de C.V, which for this research project will be considered our object of study, in particular in the Department of Continuous Improvement considered our field of application, it is intended to control the flow of parts that leave through the wheelabrator parts blast machine towards the inspection belt and final finish of the pieces.The methodology used was; the Verification Sheet, Pareto Chart, Ishikawa Diagram, Yamazumi Diagram and Work Instructions.
The present research project arises due to customer complaints about mixed parts during the year 2019, which generated product return by the client, when performing the analysis of the root cause of the problem it was found that it was due to the change of model that is generated in production, the output of parts was not controlled, so at a certain point in the operation, in the final finishing/inspection band there were 2 types of different part models that are difficult to detect by the operators and at the time of arriving at the vision system machine marked the error, for this reason, the operators did not know how to store the parts of each model. (Abdallah-A.-Abdalahh, 2020).
To analyze the situation generated by customer complaints about the mixed parts, analysis of times and movements were carried out throughout the operation of the parts through the belt, to analyze the time it takes each operator to perform their work and the following quality tools were used: the Verification Sheet, Pareto Diagram, Ishikawa Diagram, Yamazumi Diagram, as well as Work Instructions that facilitated the identification of the models in the finishing/final inspection bands, managing to control the production process and customer complaints.
